MILDRED D. O'STEEN, 88, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Parkview North Hospital. Born Oct. 14, 1918, in Fort Wayne, she was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Women's Guild at the church, and Prayer Chain at the church.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane K. (Larry) Smith of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Kimberly (Chris) Freiburger of Charlotte, Mich. and Lisa Burns of Leo; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1993; sister, Mabel Scheiman; and brothers, Fred and Ralph Reinking.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to Concordia Lutheran Church or American Heart Association.
