KIRBYVILLE – Funeral for Dorman Gene Hawthorne Sr., 51, of Kirbyville will be at Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Bean Cemetery.
He died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday at Methodist Hospital in Houston after an illness.
A lifelong resident of Kirbyville, he was an auto mechanic and a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Odell of Lumberton and Darlene Maricle of Geary, Okla.; three sons, Gene Hawthorne of Kirbyville, Kenneth Hawthorne and Roger Hawthorne, both of Buna; and four grandchildren.
