Hazel Parks, 95, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, March 30, 2007, at Crowd Care Center, Harrisonville.

She was born July 25, 1911, in Beaumont, Kan., the daughter of William and Eliza(Allison)Randolph.

Jan. 5, 1928, she married Herbert Calvin Parks in Barnsdall, Okla. They lived in Barnsdall until moving to Harrisonville in 1992.

Mrs Parks was a homemaker. She was a great cook and was well known for her famous breakfasts. She worked with Herbert raising cattle on thierranch. She also raised and sold poodles.

She had worked as a restaurant manger, a beautician and also worked at the Woolarac Museum in Bartlesville, Okla. She enjoyed going to Branson for the country music.

Mrs Parks was a member of the Harrisonville first Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herbert, on July 3, 1997; two sons, Jeff Parks and Lee Parks; a brother; and three sisters.

Surviving are a son, J.R. Parks and his wife Anna,Warrensburg; two daughters, Darlene Parks, Shawnee, Kan., and Betty Hern and her husband, David, Harrisonville;
two daughter-in-laws, Pat Parks, Lee's Summit, and Gerri Parks, Midland, TX; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers wereJames hern, Micheal Hern, Bryan Parks, J.L. Parks, Eddie Parks. Todd Cowley, Bradley Cowley and Chris Johnson.

Services 2 p.m, Tuesday, April 3 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville with David Noble officiating. The music was provived by Lisa Hern, soloist, and Elaine Gunnels, pianist. Burial was in Orient Cemetery under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at the chapel.
