Cecil Stamps Blackwood

Death: Nov. 13, 2000

Gospel Singer. He was a member of the famed Blackwood Brothers Quartet. They recorded more than 200 albums and were the recipients of several Grammy Awards. He was also a successful solo artist. He is a member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the Blackwood Brothers. (bio by: K)

Cecil Stamps Blackwood is the son of Roy E. and Susie Jane (Hall) Blackwood, grandson of George Wiley and Georgia Anna (Fant) Hall, and great grandson of Ephraim Abner and Sarrah Jane Mary (Mullins) Fant.
