Ruey E. Cash, 92, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Clay City, died at 8:10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2006 at United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Clay City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bill Renner officiating. Burial will be in Foster Hill/Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mrs. Cash was born on May 30, 1913 in Clay County, the daughter of William Allen Schofield and Ida May (Tipton) Schofield. She married Carl Andrew Cash on September 20, 1930 in Louisville. He preceded her in death in October 1993.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Clay City and Clay City Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Cash is survived by two brothers, William Allen Schofield of Metamora and Rawleigh W. Schofield of Clay City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Clay City.
