Marion was the youngest, and last surviving, of four girls born to Robert Bauchop and Mary Ella (nee Kiehl). Her father was from Scotland. Her Pennsylvania German mother was from Schuylkill County. Here is a 1997 interview.
She attended the Robert Morris School and William Penn High School. She worked at Gimbels Department store from 1932 to 1980 and collected a small pension. She never married.
Marion lived with her parents Robert (d. 1941) and Mary Ella (d. 1956) and sisters Edith (d. 1984), Ruth (d. 1991) and Florrie (d. 1948) at 2907 Susquehanna Ave. In 1920 the family moved to 1449 N. 29th St. in Philadelphia for many years.
In November 1960, Marion and her sister Edith moved to 6353 Leonard St., 2nd Floor. In 1978 the two sisters moved to 6545 Edmund St. In 2002 she moved to the Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Feasterville.
