October 16, 1920 – December 4, 2000

Heber Wells Meeks, our beloved husband and father, passed away quietly at his home on Monday, 4 December 2000. Wells was born 16 October 1920 in Provo, Utah to loving parents, Heber and Effie Fullmer Meeks. He received a degree in Animal Husbandry from BYU.

He married his sweetheart, Allene Kelsey 16 June 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He retired from the insurance business and then moved to St. George. Wells loved his country and community. He served as a SeaBee in the U.S. Navy During World War II. He was an active member of the Kiwanis Club serving as Lieutenant Governor; he was a member of the Dixie Colonels, and Sons of the Utah Pioneers.

Wells was always a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Western States. He served as a Branch president, member of a bishopric, High counselor, High Priest Group leader, Sunday School president, and in many church positions.

His family was the love and delight of his life. He made a "This Is Your Life" video for each of his children and grandchildren, adding to it on each birthday. He was always positive and never lost his sense of humor.
