Mary was born & raised in Ireland, after being married for a number of years her husband Michael said that he wanted to go to America for a better life. The second picture shows all of them before he left for America. He left and she waited 5 years in Ireland for him to send for her to come to America and join him in Akron OH. She boarded a ship with the 5 children and made the journey to America. Upon arriving she found he did have a job, owned a house of their own and the kitchen cabinets were filled with food. Like he always said "You Can Only Do This In America" They went on to have a total of eight (8) children. I have included their wedding picture 1906 and 50th wedding anniversary picture 1956, with their living children at the time. One son (Bernard) is missing because he was killed in WWll and a daughter Rita that died in infancy.
