Charles Edward Brubaker, Jr. 1928 ~ 2007 Charles Edward Brubaker, Jr., 79, died at his home on April 20, 2007, after a long illness. His life is an example of the Golden Rule, where he loved many and was generous to everyone that needed his help. His death will leave a great void in our lives and hearts. He was born Feb. 18, 1928 to Charles and Ruth Brubaker. After service in the Navy, he spent nearly 40 years in a career with the Union Pacific Railroad in Idaho and Utah. While raising a family with his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane Brubaker, he taught his children the value of education and hard work. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Trula Jane Carlisle. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Brubaker; two daughters, Monica Ann Staffland and Mary Alice Bennett; and two sons, John Edward and Robert Michael. He also leaves eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his brother, Joseph Eugene Brubaker, sister Mrs. Cecil (Fran) Richardson and many nieces and nephews. A vigil and rosary will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 S. 2200 W., Taylorsville, on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at St Martin de Porres on Thursday, April 26th at 11:00 A.M. Interment at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan.
