Parents: Henry Dodge and Christiana McDonald.

Henry Dodge was born on 12 Oct 1782 at Post Vincennes, Knox Co., Indiana. He married Christiana McDonald, daughter of James McDonald and Elizabeth Piety, on 26 Mar 1801 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, District of St. Andre, St. Louis Co., Missouri. He died on 19 Jun 1865 at the home of son Augustus, Burlington, Iowa, at age 82.

Henry Dodge was a tall man, over six feet high. Henry Dodge was elected Deputy Sheriff in 1805 of St. Genevieve District, St. Genevieve Co., Missouri. Henry inherited slaves from his father in 1806. Henry was elected Sheriff of Cape Girardeau County in 1808. In 1820 Henry Dodge was elected member of the convention that framed the constitution of Missouri.

Henry Dodge emigrated on 4 July 1827 to Galena, Illinois, from St. Genevieve, Missouri. Henry Dodge had a illustrious career in Michigan and Wisconsin. He served in the Black Hawk War and as a senator and governor of the State of Wisconsin. Henry and Christiana had 12 children.

Christiana McDonald was born on 2 Feb 1785 at Bardstown, Nelson County, Kentucky. Christiana McDonald came to Upper Louisiana in 1796 with her parents. She died on 30 Mar 1865 at the home of son Augustus, Burlington Co., Iowa, at age 80.

Elizabeth is buried with her husband and grandson, Paschal Bequette and Augustus Bequette.
