A Yale College graduate and heir to the Bristol-Myers fortune, Myers was a contributing founder of the Textile Museum in Washington DC in 1925 and donated a large tract of forest land in Connecticut's "Quiet Corner" to Yale which today is used as a School of Forestry. Myers is buried in a now secluded spot on that property along with his wife, Louise Stoddard Chase and 3 children, Persis, Mary and Louise.
