Ray Thomas Alsip, 94, Rt. 3, died at 2:40 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec 31, 1884, in Westmoreland to Josephus and Anna M. Poffenbarger Alsip.

He moved to the Arkansas City area at the age of eight. He married Ethel May Campbell on Jan 12, 1910, in Winfield. They made thier home in the Arkansas City and Silverdale areas. She died on Nov. 13, 1961.

He was a farmer and brick mason.
Survivors include: two sons, Max of Rt. 3, and Jack R. of 1330 No. Tenth St., one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Wilma) Andrews, of Rt. 3; and two granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Rindt Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in the Silverdale cemetery, Sivlerdale.

Rindt Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
