CHARLES W. PHILLIPS
Charles W. Phillips, 86, of Hunt City, died Thursday afternoon, May 15, 1975, at his residence.
Funeral services were held at 2p.m. Saturday at the Pulliam funeral home. Newton, with Bro. Harold Lingafelter officiating. Burial followed in the Mound cemetery.
Mr. Phillips was born March 5, 1889, in Jasper county, a son of John and Alice (Yingst) Phillips.
He married Lillis Rideout on May 11, 1915, and she survives.
Also surviving are sons, Orville Phillips of Hunt City and Bro. Robert Phillips of Willow Hill: daughter, Mrs. Harold (Mary) Baughman of Springfield, Ill. brothers, Howard and Ora of Newton and Harry of Opa Lacka, Fla.: sister, Mrs. Minnie Babbs of Newton: three grandchildren: one great-grandchild: and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Phillips was a retired farmer.
