DEATH: William Partington, one of the old residents of town, died on Sunday night of lung trouble after a long illness. He had been confined to his room for the last three weeks and his condition was such that his death was not unexpected. Deceased was a veteran of the Civil War and fought all through that conflict, being a lieutenant of Co. H, 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry. He leaves a host of friends and the following children: Mrs. Peter Booth, Mrs. Frederick Booth, Mrs. John Reed, Mrs. William Lamoreux and John, Harry and Eugene Partington. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 1 o'clock, with services at the Christian Church, conducted by Rev. L.O. Knipp. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
