Mr. Cobb was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Monroe. He was a member of the West Monroe Masonic Lodge #419, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Barak Shrine Temple. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He was a past president of the Pine Hills Gun Club and was the 1968 Louisiana State Trap Shooting Champion.

He was survived by his wife of 62 years, Edith C. Cobb of West Monroe; one daughter, Mary Catherine Schim and husband, Dan of Coconut Creek, FL; one step-son, Chick Childress and wife Chris of Choudrant; 1 grandson, 2 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
