Race Car Driver. Five time starter of the Indianapolis 500, 1964-68, best finish, 6th, 1968. In his initial appearance in the Classic in 1964, Duman received burns, but miraculously survived the fiery accident on the second lap that resulted in the deaths of driver Eddie Sachs and Dave MacDonald. Duman was competing in the Rex Mays 150 at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds when he died of massive head injuries suffered in a third lap crash.
