Lola wrote: Alice Bartley was the sister of Allen Bartley and Alfred Bartley. These three children were orphaned by 1880. Alfred is my great grandfather. I have never been able to determine who their parents were. In 1880, Alice was living with the Eskew family in Whitesboro, TX, Allen was living with the Hathcox family in Wood County, TX and I have not been able to locate Alfred in 1880.

Their individual death certificates indicate different names for their father.

Alice married Thomas Stubblefield in 1895 and they lived and raised their family in the Whitesboro, Texas area.

Children, Pearl, Mary, Cora, Alfred, Louise, Ada, Vera, Claude, Arthur, and Aubrey were their children.

If you have ANY information about this family and especially about Alice, I would love to hear from you!
