Lawrence L. Foster, 68, formerly of Rapatee and Middlegrove died Wednesday at 11:30 p.m. in the home of his sister, Mrs. P.A. Dale, of Fort Madison.
Mr. Foster was born Oct. 21, 1894, near Rapatee. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the Rapatee Methodist Church, Modern Woodmen of America and American Legion Post 140 of Farmington.
In addition to Mrs. Dale, he is survived by another sister, Mrs. Elmer Freed of Alexis. Three sisters and four brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home in Farmington Saturday at 2 p.m. Visitation is at the funeral home today after 4 p.m. Burial will be in Lyons Cemetery southwest of Rapatee.
