Bernard P. Borane, 81, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007. He was born Oct. 12, 1925, in Jolict, Ill., and resided in Nevada since 1964. Bernard was a retired C.P.A. in the hotel/casino industry and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his son, Daniel Paul Borane of Shawnee, Okla.; and daughters, Katherine O. Borane of Henderson, and Alese M. Borane of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret O. Borane; and son, Kenneth M. Borane. Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Thursday, July 12, with a rosary to follow, both at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, at St. Joseph, Husband of Mary, Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Interment will follow at Palm Valley View Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Donations may be made to Knights of Columbus.
