Mrs. Dora M. Mayfield, 103, of Ulman died Sunday, Dec. 4, 1983, at Edwardsville Manor Nursing Home in Edwardsville, Ill. where she had been a resident for the past 11 years. She was born Sept 28, 1880, at Ulman to Charles P. and Nancy Bass Myers.

On Aug 12, 1898, she was married at Ulman to L.J. "Bud" Mayfield, who died July 18, 1957. She made her home at Ulman until moving to the nursing home.

Surviving her are two sons, Asa Mayfield of Eldon and Bert Mayfield of St. Louis; four daughters, Mrs. F.E. (Icie) Fendorf and Mrs. H.H. (Blanche) Haines, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Eileen Humphrey and Lois Adcock, both of Leawood, Kan.; and 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Cox officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Point Cemetery.

***There is an apparent error in the obituary. I'm told by a close friend that Dora lived with her daughter, Eileen Humphrey, until she went to live in a nursing home in Edwardsville, Kansas. After Eileen's husband died, she moved in with her sister, Lois.
