Capt. Arthur Lydon Smith (1907-1950), U.S.M.C., retired, of East Palatka, died in the Jacksonville Naval Hospital yesterday morning.
Funeral services will be held Friday in the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
The deceased was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 9, 1907 and served with the U.S. Marines from 1923 to 1948, when he retired. He was a member of the Sinim Lodge, F&AM, in Shanghai, China, and of the Sudan Temple Mystic Shrine in New Bern, N.C.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Jean R. Smith, East Palatka and two sisters, Mrs. James T. Evans, Mentor, Ohio, and Mr. Walter Schrauf, Cleveland, Ohio.
