Actor. Born in the Austro-Hungarian empire in what is now the Czech Republic, he became a stage actor. In 1939 he fled the Nazi occupation and emigrated to America. He appeared in a number of movies and television shows. His most famous role was that of Juror #11 in the classic film "12 Angry Men."
