Roger is the son of Roger (Sep 14, 1704-Oct 19, 1759) and Mara Newberry Wolcott (Feb 3, 1710-June 5, 1758), daughter of Capt. Benjamin Newberry of Windsor. He is one of 11 children, the third one named Roger:
