Lucy and her husband, Milton C Garber, were instrumental in the settling and growth of Oklahoma. She was born the oldest of th eight children born to Dudley L and Martha T Bradley of Sugar Creek, Randolph, Missouri. In 1900 she was a 20 year old teacher. Have yet to find out how she met Milton woho would become a US House Representative. In addition to a family with five children, Lucy Ann, Elizabeth, Ruth, Martin D and Milton B.
