Trader, Roy Lee, 79, of New Martinsville died Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home.

Roy was born April 2, 1928 in Center Point, WV, the son of the late Ezra and Bertha Prunty Trader.

Roy was a retired employee of PPG, with 39 years of service, member of local AFLCIO #45; member of Pine Grove Sportsman's Club, former member of Fur, Fin & Feather; a veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force; and a member of the Bridge Street Church of Christ.

He was a wonderful husband and good father who loved woodworking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur, Walter and Robert Trader and brother-in-law, Norman Carson.

Surviving are his loving wife, Alta Goddard Trader whom he was married to for forty-nine years; son, Edwin Trader and his wife, Erika of Hurricane, WV; daughter, Beverly Morris and her husband, Greg of Pine Grove, WV; sister, Mary Carson of Clarksburg, WV; sister-in-laws, Eldora Trader of Sardis, OH and Patricia Trader of Center Point, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received Noon-2 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2007 Jarvis Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge Street, New Martinsville, where services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2007 with evangelists Paolo DiLuca and Charles Pugh III officiating.

Interment Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.
