EAST LIVERPOOL — Virginia Lee Potts McMullin, 76, of Grove Alley died at 9:11 a.m. Monday, July 23, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 1, 1931, in Hanover Township, Pa., a daughter of the late Edgar and Almeda Potts, she lived most of her life in this area.
After more than 20 years of service, she retired from Homer Laughlin China Co.
At one time she was a member of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, James "Jimmy Jack" McMullin, whom she married May 12, 1956, survives at home. Also surviving are two daughters, Mary Ann Holloway and Rebecca Sue McMullin, both of East Liverpool. There are three grandchildren, Jason Matthew Holloway, Nickole Ann Miller and Zachary Tylor McMullin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Edgar Potts, Richard Potts and Jim Potts.
The Rev. Norman Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct services at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial is to be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, followed by a gathering of friends and family at the Dawson Family Center.
