Actor. Prolific American motion picture and television figure of the 1920s through the 1950s. Appeared in well over 200 Hollywood films. Married briefly to actress Loretta Young, and later to actress Estelita Rodriguez. He appeared in a small number of silent films before going into sound films with actors Buck Jones, W.C. Fields, James Cagney, Buster Keaton, John Wayne and Shirley Temple, and in the films "Fort Apache" (1948), "Wake of the Red Witch" (1948), "My Darling Clementine" (1946) and "Rio Grande" (1950).
