A funeral for Samuel Monroe Bolden, 68, 2603 Lowery St., SW, will be Friday at 3 p.m. at the Big Cove Holiness Church with Rev. Mitchell Drake officiating. Burial will be in Moon Cemetery.

Mr. Bolden died Wednesday afternoon at the Huntsville Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bertie Mueller, Huntsville, and Mrs. Mamie Burkes and Mrs. Sue Saki, both of Chicago; six sons, James T. Bolden, Melbourne, Fla., Percy E. Bolden, Huntsville, Paul L. Bolden, Ardmore, Tenn., Monroe J. Bolden, Ardmore, Lloyd M. Bolden, Big Cove, and Floyd R. Bolden, Huntsville; seven sisters, Mrs. Carrie Jones and Mrs. Annie Sanders, Huntsville, Mrs. Mattie Lipscomb, Mrs. Geneva Sharp and Mrs. Evie Ledbetter, Lacey's Spring, Mrs. Juanita Payne, Titusville, Fla., Mrs. Maude Dudley, Val Monte Springs, Ala.; five brothers, George Bolden, Huntsville, Bill Bolden, Jonesboro, Ark., Wilson Bolden, Hartselle, S.O. Bolden, Lacey's Spring, and Fred Bolden, Lacey's Spring; 34 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gene Paul Dudley, Leon Dudley, Leroy Bolden, Lugene Bolden, Joe Bolden and Len Bolden.

The body will be at Spry Funeral Home until the time for the service.

Samuel Monroe Bolden was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Jean Winkles Bolden. She passed away on January 2, 1958.
