James "Jim" Elmer Noe, 51 of rural Ft. Scott, KS died at 11:20pm, Saturday, August 4, 2007 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jim was born March 18, 1956 in Girard, Ks to John Henry (Jack) and Esther Novella (Enke) Noe. He attended area schools in Girard. He went on and attended one year at the Vo-tech in Columbus, KS and one year at Ft. Scott Comm. College Truck Driving School. He graduated and recieved his certificates of completion from both. He married Mary E. McClelland, Nov.18, 1982, they divorced in 2005.
In the '70s Jim was an avid C.Ber, his handle (name) was "Jungle Jim".
Jim was an over the road truck driver for 10 years. He also was an equipment operator and farmhand.
He was a volunteer firefighter for Crawford Township District 4 RFD in Girard, KS for five years and had also been a volunteer fire fighter for Bourbon county District 3 for two years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting deer and turkey, and he liked to listen to the hounds run coyotes.
He is survived by his brother Henry Noe of rural Ft. Scott, KS; aunts Virginia Boggs of Louisiana, MO and Wanda Mingori and her husband Rick of Pittsburg; along with several cousins and two nephews by marriage.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, uncle Andrew "Buster" Boggs and cousin Brenda (Boggs) Oberg.
Inurnment Graveside service will be 2:00pm, Friday, August 10, 2007 at Farlington Cemetery with Pastor Merle Wood officiating.
Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery.
Informal visitation will be Thursday from 3pm until 8pm at Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay St. in Frontenac.

The family suggests expressions of sympathy be in the forms of memorial to help the family with expenses.
