"Mrs. Melvina Irene McKenzie, widow of Contra Costa County Superior Judge A. B. McKenzie, died yesterday in Martinez. She was 93.
Judge McKenzie, who died in 1935, was District Attorney of Contra Costa County from 1910 - 1914, when he began his judicial career. While District Attorney he prosecuted Thomas J. Mooney for the San Francisco Preparedness Day bombing.
Mrs. McKenzie is survived by four sons, Malcom, of Portland, Maitland of Alameda, George of Phoenix and Ross of Martinez; four daughters, Mrs. Norma Nave of Walnut Creek, Mrs. Roma Martin of Martinez, Mrs. Marian Prior of Torrence, Los Angeles County and Mrs. Kathleen Street of Menlo Park; two sisters, Mrs. Cota Lorimer of San Jose and Mrs. Auriella Bury of San Jose; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren."
