Actor. Albert Elmer Hodge, Jr. was a performer noted as one of the most legendary heroes in the annals of early television and radio broadcasting. During the 1940s, he was often heard playing parts on radio for "Mr. District Attorney," "Gangbusters," "Mr. Keene," "Tracer of Lost Persons," and almost every soap opera broadcast from New York. He also starred on radio as the lead on "The Green Hornet." In the 1950s, he was popular to TV fans as Captain Video on the "Captain Video and His Video Rangers" series. He also appeared on the television shows "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Tightrope," "M Squad," "Hawaiian Eye," and as a detective on "Mannix." He died of heart failure at age 66.
