He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Yorkville plant, retired owner and operator of Hutter Poultry in Wheeling Centre Market and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Martins Ferry. He was also affiliated with Lutheran Brotherhood, BPOE Lodge No. 895, Saxon Lodge, and the AARP, all of Martins Ferry.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Stoehr Hutter; three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Michelene) Stewart of Point Pleasant, N.J., Mrs. Russell (Suzanne) Armstrong and Mrs. Carl R. (Lucinda) Zeiher, both of Martins Ferry; a brother, William F. Hutter of Martins Ferry; a sister, Mary Crooks of Martins Ferry; three grandchildren, Skye Stewart, Stacy and Cory Armstrong.
