Mary Eloise (Miller) Mortimer was the daughter of Harry Anthony and Mary Emma (Harter) Miller. She was the sister of Bertha Mae (Miller) Haight and Harry Eugene Leroy "Buddy" Miller. Eloise was the wife of Harold "Dutch" Ira Mortimer. They were married April 29, 1937. Dutch died in 1987. Eloise was the beloved mother of Samuel Anthony "Tony" Mortimer and Jonathan "Jon" L. Mortimer. She was the beloved aunt of Mary Jane Haight-Eckert.

MORTIMER.--Funeral Services for Mary Eloise Mortimer, age 67, of 124 Mary Street, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Ubel Funeral Home. The Rev. John P. Downey, pastor of Grace Episcopal Church, Ridgway, officiated and interment was in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery. Friends were received at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday. She died late Saturday Evening, May 7, at Williamsport General Hospital, following a short illness. Born July 29, 1915 in Johnsonburg, she was a daughter of Mary E. Harter Miller and the late Harry A. Miller. She was married on April 29, 1937, to Harold "Dutch" Mortimer, who survives. A lifelong resident of Johnsonburg, she was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Ridgway and the Johnsonburg Senior Center. She was an Avon Products Distributor for over 25 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, S. Anthony Mortimer of Ridgefield, Conn., and Jonathan L. Mortimer of Atlanta Ga.; her mother, Mrs Mary Miller of St. Marys; a sister, Bertha, Mrs Arthur Haight, of Lake City; and two grandchildren. Her father died August 27, 1970.
