Jessie R. Burger was the daughter of Charles and Alida (Akeley) Burger.
"When Jessie worked at The Johnsonburg Press, she boarded at my Grandma Millers, at 515 Second Avenue. She was my dear friend and mentor during my teenage years. September of 1956 when I began my first teaching position at Aliquippa High School, Jessie was living in Beaver - she cheered-up "this homesick gal." Thank you, Jessie for your friendship. - Mary Jane
