JOE MOOSE
MAIDEN - Joe Moose, 75, of Island Ford Road, Maiden, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Carolinas Specialty Hospital in Charlotte. Born April 10, 1932, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Colon H. Moose and Sally Estelle Hedrick Moose. He was a member of East Maiden Baptist Church and worked as a supervisor for Carolina Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Huffman Moose. Survivors include a daughter, Sherron Johnson and her husband, Larry, of Maiden; two grandchildren, Rodney Kale and Goldie Kale Nicholson; two great-grandchildren, Sean-Michael Nicholson and Kaleb Nicholson; two step grandchildren, Lora Johnson and Lynsey Johnson; and one step great-grandchild, Kaelyn Kizah. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at East Maiden Baptist Church, with the Revs. Nathaniel Austin officiating and Jonathan Foster assisting with the service. The family will have a visitation from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, at the church. Burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Carolina Specialty Hospital staff, Catawba Valley Medical CCU North staff, East Maiden Baptist Church Family and Cornerstone Church family for all their support.
