Effie Lee Vaught, 62, died Sunday, March 17, 1996 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Born January 15, 1934, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Taylor and Edna Lucille Vaught Gilmer. Survivors include: her husband, Sam Vaught, Jr., Danville; two sons, John Gilmer Vaught, Hustonville and Michael Lee Vaught, Danville; one daughter, Lynda Sue Elliott, Harrodsburg; one brother, David B. Gilmer, Louisville; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services for Mrs. Vaught were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, with the Rev. Ernest Martin and the Rev. Greg Nimme officiating. Burial was in the Hustonville Cemetery.
