DIED - Mrs. H. Hammond, on Sunday, August 8, in the 26th year of her age. She was born in Moultrie county, Ill., April 20, 1860, was married in May, 1877. She leaves a husband and three children. It is a terrible loss, as she was a kind, loving wife, and an affectionate mother.

The 1885 State Census for Ringgold Co., Iowa lists Henry Hammond with wife, Mary C., daughter Ada C., and son Bertie C., which appears to be the correct family, but cannot be confirmed.
