Mrs. Malinda Kinard, nee Faringer, was born in York Co., Pa., Nov. 18 1816, and died Feb. 12, 1917. In the year 1865 she was united in marriage to John Kinard. To this union were born ten children, six boys and four girls. Seven of these, four boys and three girls, have passed on before. Her husband just passed away on the 4th of last October.
She is survived by two sons, Walter and Samuel, and one daughter, Mrs. Granville Wilson, also eleven grandchildren, besides a host of friends.
She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a kind friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In August 1894, she was united with the Antioch Baptist church and remained a faithful member until called to her reward. Funeral services were held at the Honey Creek church, conducted by Rev. Cooney, after which the deceased was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby." W.M.C.
