Dennis Mitchell Gilmer, 34, of Springfield, died at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at St. John's Hospital.
Dennis was born April 28, 1970 in Springfield the son of Raymond Eugene and Tena E. Vannoy Gilmer. He married Nora Daniels, July 15, 1998 in Springfield.
Dennis was employed by the Salvation Army as a shelter worker for the last six and a half years. He was a member of Kingdom Life Ministries in Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife: Nora of Springfield; two sons: Richard Curry and Elmer Daniels both of Springfield; three daughters: Marcella (husband, Darren) Kincaid, Angela Curry and Shaan McGay all of Springfield; ten grandchildren; one sister: Della Gilmer of Springfield; two brothers: Jacob and William Gilmer both of Springfield; four uncles and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Bennett. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
