Widow of Augustus Daniel Kearney, a Victorian physician and notable tennis player, she was married to Australian athlete Reginald 'Snowy' Baker. Baker was a driving force in the success of her husband in Hollywood, she stood behind him and encouraged him all the way. She was also a well known hostess whose parties were attended by the stars of early Hollywood including Helen Twelvetrees and Charlie Chaplin. Baker suffered from rheumatoid arthritis that hastened her death. A daughter Margaret died shortly after and it is not known where she was buried.
