James Brasson Wheeler was the son of Grattan Henry and Frances "Fanny" (Baker) Wheeler, Sr. Malinda (Goodale) (Willard) Wheeler was his 2nd wife. He was a farmer. He served during the Civil War. "James is mentioned in newspaper clippings found at the Bath County historical building. He is also mentioned in his father's will. After the death of his mother Fanny (also know as Wealthy), James lived with his mother's father, Capt. Samuel Baker."
