Mr. Cornish was born in St. Paul, MN on March 21, 1914 the son of Mr and Mrs. Eugene Cornish. On March 5, 1949 he married the former Margaret Godleski in Merrill. She survives.
He was a cement finisher prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs Roger Petera and Lynn Hanover, Loretta, and son Leslie, all of 1904 Water St; five sisters Mrs John Palececk, St. Paul, Mrs Paul Knotke of Merrill and Mrs. Anthony Averza of Corpus Christi, TX, Mrs Vernon Larsen of Elk Mound, WI, and Mrs Edward Krause of Oconomowoc, WI and two brothers Charles of Green Bay and Edward of Wausau.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 9, 1974 at the Schram-Buettner Funeral Home in Merrill. The Rev. John Eldred officiated and burial was in Merrill Memorial Park.
