Wilfred L. Balo, 73, of Third Street, Frazeysburg, a retired school teacher, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at his home following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Balo retired from Newark City Schools in 1970 after having taught mathematics and driver's education in Licking County and did some teaching in the Tri-Valley District. He was a graduate of Dresden High School and the Ohio State University College of Agriculture and was a member of Frazeysburg United Methodist Church, Dresden F & AM Lodge, Frazeysburg Lions Club and Dresden Grange. Born January 1, 1905 at Adams Mills, a son of the late Horatio P. Balo. Mr. Balo was married 27 December 1959 to Miriam B. Church. His first wife Ethel Rowena Neldon died in 1957.
