During his NFL career, Taylor appeared in 55 regular season games achieving Pro Bowl status in 2007. After playing collegiate football at Miami (Florida), Taylor was selected by the Redskins in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. On November 30, 2008, Taylor was inducted into the Redskins' Ring of Fame. His life came to a sudden and tragic end after he was shot during a robbery at his Florida home.
