Frank E. Cobleigh Jr., 80, of Tyngsboro, a World War II veteran and retired engineer at Raytheon Co., died Tuesday, March 5, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was the husband of Rita B. (LeBlanc) Cobleigh, who died Feb. 7, 2000. He was born in Tyngsboro on Nov. 11, 1921, son of the late Frank E. Cobleigh Sr. and Anna (Burton) Cobleigh. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1939. Mr. Cobleigh served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a mechanical engineer at Raytheon until his retirement. Mr. Cobleigh was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Chelmsford. In addition to being an avid gardener and an amateur orchardist, he was a member of the Massachusetts Horticulture Society. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Michelle E. and James J. Healy, who reside in the Republic of Singapore, Maureen E. Cobleigh of Tyngsboro; a granddaughter, Leigh A. Healy-Davis and her husband Thomas of Nanuet, N.Y.; a great-grandson, Keven J. Davis of Nanuet, N.Y.; six brothers, Maurice Cobleigh and Gerald Cobleigh, both living in Florida, James D. Cobleigh of Nashua, Raymond E. Cobleigh of Tewksbury, Robert Cobleigh and David Cobleigh, both of Westford; four sisters, Gladys Anderson of Wichita, Kan., Dorothy Hutchison of Chelmsford, Janice Taylor of Nashua, and Elsie Wyman of Westford; a sister-in-law, Pauline M. and her husband Albert Gervais of Tyngsboro. He was also the brother of the late Russell Cobleigh and Muriel Gilpatrick, both of Westford.
