Ivy Gann of the Macedonia neighborhood, died Saturday, after an illness of several weeks, at the age of thirty-five.
Mr. Gann was a preacher in the Nazarine church, and was opposed to having a doctor. The funeral was held Sunday. He is survived by his wife and a son and daughter and a number of other relatives.

Mr. Ivy Gann dies at his home in the Macedonia community on Saturday afternoon, September 30, 1933. Funeral services were held the next day (Sunday) conducted by Bro. Rider, Bro. Pounder and Bro. Taylor, he was a preacher of the Church of God and the funeral services were attended by twelve ministers and a large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives.
Mr. Gann was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gann and was born and reared in Chickasaw County, having spent the greater part of his life in the Macedonia community. He was a faithful member of his church and lived a consecrated life, never losing his faith in God.
The deceased leaves a widow, one daughter, one son and a mother, also four brothers and two sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. His remains were laid to rest Sunday afternoon in Macedonia cemetery beneath a mound of beautiful flowers.
