All his life was spent in the Waynesburg area. He was affiliated with the Church of God of Prophecy in West Waynesburg. He served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific theater during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Greene County Chapter 123 of Waynesburg.
He was employed as a construction worker and also with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company at Akron, Ohio.
A sister and a brother are deceased.
