Hill H. Roberts, 96, died Dec. 2, 2007, born Dec. 30, 1910, in Danville, third of 11 children of Issac Bailey and Idella Brown Roberts.
Survived by sons, Wayne H. Roberts, Harlingen, Texas, and Don H. Roberts and his wife, Joe Ann Roberts, Maxville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Mark S. Roberts and his wife, Lori, Charlotte, N.C., and Lynn Roberts Holsenbeck, Jacksonville, Fla.; three greatgrandchildren, Dustin P. Roberts, Dale A. Holsenbeck and Andrew Grinder; brothers, Neal Roberts, Gardendale, and Hoyt Van Roberts, Lake Como, Fla.; sisters, Ruth Grantland, Mims, Fla., Alice Aldridge and Roberta Roberts, Titusville, Fla.
Mr. Roberts was employed by Davenport Hosiery Mill for 29 years and the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial service 11 a.m. Friday at Roselawn Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Elder of Basham Methodist Church in Hartselle officiating.
