His obit: Edward P. Asay died yesterday morning shortly after five o'clock at his home at Monmouth Beach. He had been sick about seven months, the cause of his death being heart disease. Mr. Asay was born in Burlington county 72 years ago. He was a brick-maker by trade and followed that occupation for a number of years. Twenty years ago he moved to this neighborhood. He kept the Shrewsbury toll-house five years ago, since which time he had been employed as flagman at Seabright. For thirty-five years he was a local preacher in the Methodist Episcopal church. His wife died thirteen years ago and he leaves eight children -- Daniel, Burrowes, Edward, George and Mrs. Mary Woodward of Red Bank; Mrs. Lydia Woolley of Farmingdale, Mrs. C. W. S. Emmons of Atlantic Highlands, and William Asay of Philadelphia. The funeral will be held in the First Methodist church, Red Bank, tomorrow afternoon, and the burial will take place in Fair View cemetery.
Edward had a home & brick factory in Shark River Hills in the early 1870's. I'm looking for any kind of evidence of this.

Gravesite Details
The cemetery can't find a record of his burial and I have not found a marker but his death cert & obit both say he was buried here and this was the family cemetery for most of his children.
