Spc. Benjamin J. Garrison, gave his life for his country on in Amerli, Iraq. Ben was a graduate of Alief Elsik HS in 2001 and attended HCC. He felt drawn to serve his country and enlisted in March 2006. Ben deployed in Sept. 2007 and was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 71st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, N.Y. Ben enjoyed spending time with his family & friends and was known as a kindhearted man who would help anyone in need. He is loved and will be missed by his wife, Carla C. Garrison; parents, Edwin W. & Martha L. Garrison; brother, Ronald W. Garrison; grandmother, Sally E. Vanmater; grandfather, Chester M. Bunch; uncles, Lester G. Garrison, Keith Bunch & Matthew L. Bunch; aunt, Kathryn G. Lilly and many other relatives and friends.
